After every 3 to 5 years there is a general trend whereby the mortgage industry faces a lot of crisis or a downfall. This is more like a cycle and it happens after every three to five years. There is a high rise in the profit making business of lending but it is then followed by a major decline. This has been happening like this since last two decades and the lenders and consumers now stay ready to face such events. This year has proved to be such year for the mortgage industry an after a boom of three consecutive years, the industry is now facing a huge decline and risk these days. The year that is 2007 has proved to be very damaging for the mortgage industry. There have been several companies in the United States of America who have lost enormous clients and have to close their business. The crises have affected d a number of businesses including the different outsourcing companies who provided telemarketing facilities to the mortgage lenders. Under these circumstances there are a lot people who are influenced by this problem. There are several reasons which lead to the mortgage crisis. In 2007 the crisis are basically sub prime mortgage crisis which are caused due to the sub prime lending. Some of the major issues and problems which lead to this type of mortgage crisis include:
- The roles of the lenders play a major role in making the crisis inevitable. The lenders usually get the investors who invest in the lending business in order to get the return , but in times of intense and immediate lending crisis there are certain things which the investor are concerned about. They would not like to invest at a place where the risk factor is immense. Lenders throughout the United States of America have a great threat to the money when they go for lending business. Although it is a secured loan but it can still prove to be very damaging and quite risky business.
- The role of the homeowners is also very important in knowing about the mortgage crisis in the country. In recent years the prices of the property in America hiked up and on the basis of that, many homeowners went to get maximum amount of cash out of their home equity. This became a major problem for leading to the mortgage crisis. This is where the problem actually started. The lenders gave a lot of loan to the homeowners but now that the prices of the properties have come down to a normal level, the lenders have also realized the real worth of the properties and now crisis have developed.
There are a lot of businesses in the world who have suffered huge losses due to the 2007 mortgage crisis. But there are still hopes to get it back on the track and it is believed that in a time of 6 to 9 months everything will be back to normal.
