Foreclosure is a legal action that the lender can take if his amount is not recovered. He sells or auctions the home and tries to recover his amount. Foreclosure is a sort of guarantee to the lender that he will get his investment back.
This gives the lender the right to assume the ownership of the property. Foreclosure most usually heads out due to the failure of those borrowers in repaying the every month mortgage fees and installments. Therefore uprooting you and the rest of the family in the place and the neighborhood that you have lived in for years. You may have emotional attachment with this home and it’s difficult to leave such place. This may emotionally destabilize you.
3. In foreclosures, sometimes lender sale house for fewer prices then it worth and not much equity is left with the owner. Owner is usually left with no or less equity because the expenses or fee involved can be really high.
4. One of the worst terrors of foreclosure is that sometime the affected family has no place to go for taking shelter. This may affect you and your family as in these circumstances it is difficult to keep your self-esteem intact.
5. A foreclosure enforces individuals to get forward, and the move is most usually tough and could be reflecting on children’s mental and social development. To get settle in a new place is not an easy job. Children are badly affected because they may be going in a school nearby and had to shift in a new school. It may not be easy for them as they get use to of its environment and friends and this may affect them psychologically. As a result both parents and children are affected.
6. Usually people bought home near their offices so they may not have to cover long distances. Getting a new home at the same location may not be easy. The foreclosure may result in changing of job as it becomes difficult to travel long distances.
Another solid reason is that it damages your credit rating and it is estimated that it may decrease your rating up to 500 points. In future it may create problem for you to qualify for the loan. Foreclosure should be avoided as far as you can.
