Foreclosure on Church in East Naples

Foreclosure

The pastor of God’s First Assembly in the east of the country of Collier is praying for miracles while his church stands in front of foreclosure. Woes of finance have stopped on brand multimillion-dollar centers of family worship. The foundation, as well as the sturdy footers can be found there, while the beams of steel are up. However, work stopped at least a month back. It is a true disappointment for the congregation. They are unable to come up with enough money out of this blue-collar congregation in order to maintain an ongoing project. Several are homeless, while a lot of others do not have any jobs.

At the same time, RBC Bank is about to foreclose on this church, along with its 46 acres. The action of foreclosure was filed within the month of August after this church couldn’t afford any more payments on construction loans of $3.2 million that it brought out to actually build its brand new worship center. Mallory brought out multimillion-dollar loans that are based on promises to get $5 million more from this church’s sale of 24 land acres to local developers, such as MDG Capital Corporation. This land used to be slated for affordable projects of housing, such as that of Fountain Lakes that is currently on hold.

A private or public partnership that represents several of the county of Collier’s biggest employers was backing up the project of Fountain Lakes. It could have provided almost three hundred multifamily units for essential personnel of services, like firefighters and police officers, with household incomes from $49,000 to $89,000. MDG has agreed to shell out $9.75 million to obtain the land of the church and made a down payment of $4.75 million that it borrowed from the TIB Bank.

TIB is currently foreclosing on 24 acres after the MDG had failed to make necessary payments of loan. MDG has promised to give the church the extra $5 million by next month. The developer has made several payments of interest; however stopped giving money out on loans in the month of June.

Within the month of October last year, MDG called upon a meeting filled with RBC bank and church representatives. This is when Mallory stated that he had learned about MDG not wanting to give the church whatever money it was actually owed. They were informed that they weren’t going to get paid. At the very least, the RBC bank was stunned.

The Phoenix Associates vice president from the design-build Naples construction company was there for the meeting with executives from MDG since he was friends of this particular church. During the meeting, he received the idea that the decision of MDG not to offer the church any more money had something to do with how the economy slowed down. Someone has to actually step up in order to help out. Sadly, not everybody has the money to actually do so. No one gives the way they gave back in the day. It seem that God is sending tests off to everybody at the moment and it looks as if everybody is failing.
