Counties Ready to Break the Foreclosure Record
The counties of the United States are all moving at a fast pace in terms of foreclosure activities. The Lorain County is reported to have near about 1600 foreclosure listings. In the year 2007, it is likely to break the foreclosure record. The rise in foreclosure activities has caused havoc on the financial market of the US. Ohio has to bear the brunt of the foreclosure crisis. The problem of foreclosure has today become so evident that each and every person is able to feel its adverse effects.
According to the reports, Florida, Ohio and California had the maximum foreclosure activities in the month of July this year. Officials in the lending business are of the opinion that the foreclosure situation is not expected to change overnight in the Lorain county. During the spring months, there were talks going on regarding giving a fresh thought to the loans and making some adjustments in the rate of interest. However, nothing of that sort seems to be taking place.
The grave foreclosure situation is the result of the boost given to the sub prime mortgage industry that provides loans to the people on easy terms. Experts are of the say that the foreclosure will continue to take a heavy toll for at least the next two years to come. To put a stop to this crisis, there is indeed a need to prevent the people from approaching the sub prime lenders for securing the loan amount for buying the house. There is a need to make the procurement of such loans harder.
A couple of years back, the problem was the other way round. There were very few loans available to the low and middle income groups and now there are hell lot of loans offered to them, which in turn has worsened the situation. Now the problem has aggravated. People who seek unsecured loans not only find it difficult to pay back their loans, but also have to bear the brunt of foreclosure. They end up losing their home which is sold off in auction. The easy availability of loan is killing lives and leaving millions of people homeless.
The initiative taken by some of the lenders to provide easy term loans to the low income groups is merely a part of the scam meant to deceive the innocent people in trouble. The crooks began taking the advantage of their lack of knowledge about the mystery behind providing loans on small or no down payment terms. Today, it is not just the poor people who are affected by the mischief of the fraudulent companies but it has rendered a bad name to the financial economy of the United States.
