Foreclosure – Beware of Scams

There are many reasons adding up to the list for why there are so many foreclosure happenings nowadays. Few of them being with loss of job, recession, resetting the rules and values of mortgage plans! Hence, the house owners are unable to afford the due payments for their house. As a result of depression and for the want of holding their property, many people go for foreclosure consultants. There are many consultants who do justice to their jobs; while there are scams at the same time which will try to take advantage of the opportunity on the peoples’ property which really needs a rescue idea.

There are frequencies of more fraudulent cases that are occurring everyday in the name of ‘rescue’. The Mortgage lending division and the Consumer affairs division have reported many such cases even today. On the other hand, the buyers are eagles who watch out the chances to buy the foreclosure property. The scam has not left them also. There are threats even in buying the foreclosure properties.

Before buying the property or signing the papers, a research has to be done. One has to make sure if the property that they are going to buy is in good location and should be inspected in a proper way. There are cases where the house owners have incapacitated the electrical and plumbing works due to the loss faced by foreclosure. Most of the banks, sell the foreclosed property in-spite of knowing that they need to be repaired.

Few things that has to be flagged in mind to be aware of scams is that:

Usually the people who scams will do doing these activities in general. You can be very well alarmed and save yourself from one more loss when already you were depressed for the loss of your property.

* These people usually demand advance fees and want them to be paid immediately even before they suggest or take action on your complaint.

* These services or company will never own a telephone or physical address and this will prove them as fraudulent ones.

* They have a non-profitable web address or URL that ends with .org

The house owners who are on the urgency of help and fear of losing their homes are at the risk of scam threats of all types. These people are easily cheated as they often stressed out for losing their property, short of cash and more worried about their future. All these kinds of scams should be ruled out completely. These are actually creating an added mental pressure to the people whoa have already undergone an intolerable depression. These scams should either know that they should not follow a malpractice with these kinds of people or the scams should be identified and punished for sure.

Many news sources and survey say that the people should always be aware of the foreclosure deals and the rescue scams. The people take better advantage with these types and enjoy money in their loss. This activity has increased in the recent days with many attractive and fraudulent companies advertising themselves to rescue people in their sad times of being beaten up by foreclosure.

  2. It’s sad, but there are always people out there trying to make a quick and dishonest buck. You raise a good point about doing your research. Be sure to thoroughly check the home before you sign any papers. Banks are not required to repair (let alone disclose) any damages or needed tenant improvements.
