What Was Not Expected Of the Foreclosures
The foreclosures started with a number of houses being closed and these were mainly the houses of the people who had bad credits even before the economic crisis. When the bite of the economic crisis began, another group who were the people who had mortgages and low incomes were the next victims. The next income level followed which were the people who were stable earners but they had many obligations. The middle income earners came next and now the foreclosures have hit even the people who had saved some little money and people who are high income earners. This is because the foreclosing is not being done depending on what one pays but on the frequency of payment.
People were not expecting the foreclosure crisis to last for long and they were not saving since they were assured that the companies that had employed them were stable and they could retain them. They did not expect the companies to collapse and when they were sacked and the companies collapsed. People felt like the world was coming to an end. Foreclosures made the situation worse and there are people who are nursing shock up to date since they did not expect the problems to get to them. This has killed he mentality of people thinking that they are immune to foreclosures as far as they have a regular source of income.
Another problem that people faced after the foreclosures was the rise in the price of houses and they can no longer afford accommodation. This has made many people to move to places where they have relatives to get assistance. People did not expect the economy of the major controllers of the world economy to collapse and they have been disillusion by relying on the economy since there are fears that the economy may remain at the present state for a long time. This is killing the hopes of people who had businesses and they were hoping that they would revive them after economic recuperation.
Another thing that people did not expect of the foreclosures was that the real-estate dealers and the mortgage agents who were friendly would turn around and evict them like they were strangers. People thought that the courtesy in business lives even when one violated the terms of the business relationship. There are some people whop are negotiating their way out of the foreclosures but a great number is being forced out of their homes which have become foreclosures for sale.
People also thought that the law that was in place was fighting for the citizen’s rights such that it would protect the citizen when they are faced by the problem of foreclosures but this has turned out wrong since most of the policies that govern housing advocate for fairness in housing where the real-estate dealer and the mortgage borrower get equal shares of the deal. Failure on one side then resolves to the other party taking the necessary party for redress. The leaders are also trying to help but they are not in a position to help all people like the citizens thought.
