Shocking waves of foreclosure shaking the grounds
Shocking waves of subprime loan across the nation are giving tide effect in local areas of Willmar. Mortgage loan interests are increasing and housing prices are lowering drastically. Foreclosure activity in the state is in its pick, known in the last decades. The shock waves in subprime lending are causing crisis in the financial system and blowing out the bubble of stock market.
Willmar foreclosure filings are skyrocketed according to new data published by county reports, authoritive provider of foreclosure statistics.
County sheriff’s report of July 2007 shows that for all Greater Minnesota counties, foreclosures climbed nearly 48% between 2005 and 2006. Projections for 2007 suggest that there will be 91% increase in foreclosures between 2006 and 2007. This will lead to more than 15,000 foreclosures in the span of 2005 and 2007.
Leading the state in number of filings, Wright county has foreclosure rate of 1.81 percent, projecting 719 foreclosures in Sheriff’s sale for the year of 2007. Other notable counties experiencing both a high number and high rate of foreclosures are Sherburne, Chisago, Isanti and Pine counties.
Number and rate of foreclosures very widely between counties, ranging from 719 in Wright county to zero in Houston County.
There are differences between sheriff’s sale data and other organizations in the business of foreclosure. According to an online real estate organization recorded 5,995 homes in Minnesota were in the line for foreclosure procedure, compared to a total of 11,207 sheriff’s sale in 2006. This understates housing crisis in the state. This is the report of rural areas which are not escaped untouched. 80 counties were under research for this result in the survey of Greater Minnesota Housing fund of St. Paul.
Great outdoor living and twin cities of the state make it delightful downtown dwellings and people heated the real estate market during the bloom period here. These metropolitan areas are now under depressing wave of subprime mortgage.

Swift county has filed 24 foreclosures for the year which totals up the value for the property more than $1.7 million – largest in the history since 1980s. says Reed Anfinson, who is a news article writer and Editor of Swift County Monitor.
Counties like Sherburne and St. Louis are on higher graph with more than 530 sells on Sheriff’s sales report for the financial year of 2005-2006. This figure projects nearly 86% percent change for the next year. This high rate was not common few years ago and proves to be a definite increase.
The report further shows that there are 14 more on list of sale with foreclosure documents in Chippewa County. Yellow Medicine County has 8 files with 38 projected sheriff’s sale.
Shock waves of subprime mortgage lending are shaking the grounds and will continue in near future. People are caught up in the trap of high interest home loans, they are unable to pay off. They are realizing that they are paying too much higher than the property is worth for!
