Hawaii Witnesses Less Foreclosure Activities In July

In the times when the entire nation is witnessing shockingly high foreclosure activities, Hawaii is reported to have the lowest foreclosure activities in the month of July. Out of all the states in Columbia, Hawaii lies at the 45th position, which is way far better than the other places in Columbia. As compared to the last year, Hawaii had a higher rate of foreclosure. But, in comparison to other states, the foreclosure activities are not much. The rate of foreclosure went up by 60% by the end of July in the year 2006. The rise can be attributed to the RealtyTrac that has now covered the entire state.

From the period between June and July in 2007, the rate of foreclosure rose to 9%. The foreclosure listings are near about 93% higher than what they used to be in July06. According to the latest reports, California had nearly 39,013 filings for foreclosure in the month of July. When compared with the last year foreclosure listings, the rate has gone up by 289%.

According to the RealtyTrac report, almost 43 states are facing a tough time. Year by year, the rate of foreclosure is increasing. Florida, Ohio, Michigan, California, and Georgia are the five states that account for almost half of the foreclosure listings in the United States. Six of the metropolitan cities in California were at the top in the foreclosure listings as per the foreclosure report released in July07.

Stockton lies at the 2nd position from the top in terms of the foreclosure activities. Merced is at the third and Modesto at the fourth position. The fifth position is occupied by Vallejo-Fairfield.
